President Ramsammy was honored at the 25th anniversary celebration of the Capital Region chapter of the organization One Hundred Black Men, which provides mentoring, support and empowerment opportunities. The non-profit group includes professionals who come together to improve the quality of life of African Americans and other minority citizens in the Capital Region.
Dr. Ramsammy was honored for his 30-year career in higher education, much of which has been focused on increasing achievement in students from minority communities. He was one of two honorees at the event. The event took place on Sat. Oct. 27 at the Desmond.
